etc

for me all those are totally bull shit. What matters most is, are these quoted companies performing enough against the investment ? and also the future prospectus of those companies.

As I see CSE is heading towards the knowledge based investment and trading era. Nothing to be fear about that, we still have time sharp our knowledge.

Next time don't wait for easy money, do your analyze before invest Smile

Do people know the PER of the shares they bought? Fat chance! our dearly beloved global moderator Rijayasuriya joined the forum six monhs ago and started by asking 'what is PER'. Today he is advising all and sundry and rediculing people who have been in the market for ages. There is one guy here whom I know personally that has a CFA. I have seen Rijayasuriya and a few others rediculing even that guy.
So how can you expect readers to know what PER their shares are trading at?

Dear Hapu

CFA is a professional exam. Dont worry about that .CSE manipulators are intelligent than CFA members. Smile Smile

Also a warning. PERs told by the brokers are just raw numbers. They don't take into account the one time gains, property assessments and other account gimmicks.
Net assets doesn't make any sense unless the company is going to close down or something. Otherwise having so much assets doesn't matter if they don't use them to make money.

To the best of my knowledge, correct usage is "I know personally that has CFA charter" or "I know personally that s/he is a CFA charterholder". CFA is an adjective not a noun.

feelings always controls the mind rather than any fundamental or PER,even you are an investor you may get panic if your PF coming down fast,so in bear mkt ppl tends to loose the mind control, even a big investor can be a victim..

its very safe to invest in high dividend paying companies, because now the world is heading to a major problems..can recommend LLUB,CTC,NEST,but you may get a chance to buy them more cheap if you have patience.

Now I know u are a duplicate account of a past member.(I really suspected it but now I know it) First of all please let me correct u I am not a global moderator.I am just a moderator.
The other thing is I have never said that I am an expert. But I have learnt a lot in a small period of a time.It is mainly due to the common sense.I know some big headed people do not like that.U only need a good memory and writing and presentation skill to pass the exams. It does not mean that u are a wise man.It just mean that u are a knowledgeable man.(Do not think that I have not sit for any exams....I am telling this as I have passed exams in which only a very few people even get oppurtunity to sit in our country) If u have good common sense u can become a wiseman.
I share my knowledge and experience with humble forum members, not with the big headed people who think they are as born expert and people like u who lacks common sense.
And if you see any wrong advices from me due to lack of a CFA charter Wink please do not hesitate to point it out.(U do not need to be a CFA charterholder to point out wrong advices as I believe what we should evaluate is not the highest exam passed by the commenter but the value of his/her comment.)
I am really happy about my success in a very short period of time.
Last but not least if u have a backbone and if u want to criticise me please do not hide in a thread in which I have not posted any comment.
