Future ?

unless ur a big shot in sl u can only know that by dreams only.
But if u master your technical chart reading ability then u will be able to get some idea about future events.
eg: high volume trade, massive share dumping/buying, directors buying etc.

or else u can go to AGM and see what they are planning,

Finally the official announcement from CSE website.... Laughing

Rohan are you asking how to find right/issues/ Dividends/Sub divisions before annoucnemnt?

Unless you are a big shot with connections sadly we can do 1 thing make educated guesses.

Sub divisions :

1) If there are lesser shares in the market and prices are high we can guess that at somepoint they do need to do a sub division ( NEH, DIMO are 2 examples) I am not saying they will sub divided but are potential candidates

Dividends:
best way to do this is look at past history of dvidend of a company ( check CSE). If they give consistent dividens chances are they will also do so this time.

Right Issues:
This is tricky one as it depends on the needs of the Company to find funds. Maybe to settle outstanding loans, maybe to purchase somethings,. Maybe to expand busnisess etc. For this we need keep watching for developments. To be honest SEYB rights came as a suprised to me and many others.

Bottom line is there is no way to predict. Educated guesses is only option.

If we go inline by the book then what you are saying is right... But thats not the case always...
Eg: How can we justify a sub-division for ECL ??

All the banks are now at a point where they gonna require more money to keep their banking licence. According to Gov new rules all the banks should be listed and should maintain equity.

source:http://www.lbr.lk/fullstory.php?nid=201009072232204348
"Under the new ruling, the minimum capital requirement of existing licensed commercial banks have been increased by 500 million rupees, to three billion by 2010, four billion by 2012 and 5.0 rupees, by 2015, the release said.

While existing specialized banks have to also increase their capital requirements by a billion rupees, to three billion by 2010, 2.5 billion rupees, by 2012 and three billion by 2014.
