What should I do with my share trading account with Taprobane?

i have a share trading account with Taprobane Securities. What should I do now? Will they pay me if I sell my shares. Do they have money to pay? I was told that there is problem because they have got paid from Sampath Bank.

please advise....

According to current news Sampath is contemplating on legal action against parties who did not comply with their part in the transaction. For the moment, any funds channelled to Thapro. through Sampath can be kept to makeup for the unpaid amounts. Any balance left will be subject to litigation. However, if NSB honours their obligations & pay the full amount (very unlikely event) the problem will be resolved. I hope this will help you friend.

If there is no need to sell the shares, you can keep them. Your shares are deposited in CDS (Not with the broker).

go to another broker and just get your shares tranfered to the new broker its just a mtter of filling an application and signing a document

In the worst case Taprobane will change the name to Tuk Tuk Trust and the same people will run the busienss as usual.

owever this can take abt 2 weeks to happen.. But I think its the best option at this time..

Many brokers do shady work and get away but when exposed who will like to stay with them?
