I presume CSE will start a RUN from Tuesday as the GOSL wants to show that after the CJ Impeachment the investor communities trust and confidence on the GOSL.

The HNWI who are connected to the GOSL will effect a BULL Run ..
They were the ones who brought down the CSE also now its the time for them to start the PUMP DUMP game with a meaning of showing the Trsut and the Confidence on the GOSL

It is heard that the Bank and finances Interest rates at the end of the month will have a massive drop and all these things are planned things ..

Play safe and be wieners ..... lol!

So its a artificial run.. We can see who is right Mr market or others

Yes Wiki I too feel same but remember that PUMP and DUMP will not happen again as the market now has stabilized. You would have realized that in the very recent short BULL after interest rate cut. ASI moves 52 up and next day it was only a marginally down and continued to go up thereafter.

So the crazy profit realizations has gone and now the investors understand the real trading pattern. So not to worry the market is ok now and still many counters are undervalued.

I feel that index would reach 6000+ with in January 2013

I agree with the possibility of a run on Tuesday. However,

How can they drop interest rates? The Govt. is trying to attract foreigners into buying Rupee denominated Treasury Bonds. If they drop rates, the existing buyers at 11, 12% will have good appreciation and will likely sell out. Leading back again to Balance of Payment problems (external account)

Technically what you say is true , But these people wants answers for short times ...
So to Attract more Retail Investors they will drop the interest rates in a big way by end of Jan .
CEO'S of the broking firms knows these plans and some of them did collected some speculative shares last few days - Like LSL/Capitol Trust and DNH & Soft logic

There are many restrictions when it comes to investments in GSEC by Foreign Investors, such maximum exposure of only 12.5% of the total outstanding of Gov Bills and Bonds, hence I would not agree that rate cuts could lead to Balance of Payments issues. The CBSL has further restricted foreign investments in GSEC only of maturities above five years.

more retailor participation can get only few mileage....

we need the big boys to pump in......gradually.

why could not sakvitto and GK depositors invest in CSE.

perhaps they thought that was ez money to earn by way of interests....

At least at CSE you will get 5% of your capital ( worst case when people bought GREG at Rs 200+ and warrant) and hope alteast the share can recover . But with shady investment companies, you migth not get anything back
