All the companies can move up more because they are still trading below sector and market PE. If EPS goes up by 30%, why shouldnt share price move up by 30%? If it is not due to one off sale etc

Shark - Any idea why SAMP has reversed the impairment charge ?

Is it due to excess provision provided in the last quoter? Or just to show growth in the profit ?

Very unusual SAMP to show 21% increase in net profits when all other major banks show declines or flat results this quarter .....

Well i am sure there is a rationale for reversing the excess impairment loss, and the Auditors have agreed for such a move.
I do not see any hidden motive.

As long as they are principally accepted and they follow it with consistent basis.
Thats all we as shareholders require from them and to be transparent when dealing with similar incidents.

SAMP recorded low grpwth in past quarters if i remember correct due to exposure on GOLD loans
