First Happy New year all..
It's good to think possibilities and see what can be outcomes for each scenario as a inverster / trader.

MS win...
1.Market will boom , bull market .
2.Steady upward market as inverters hoping for better long term policies.
2.Little drop then long term upwards depends on policies.
3.Big drop as big selling by MR supporters, taking money out.
4.Selling by genuine inverters, foreign as they want to wait and see what will happen.This may be slow but going down for some time till it recover steady.

MR win
1.Market will boom , bull market .
2.Little drop as may be investors worry about long-term policies.
3.Steady upwards market with better reasons.
4.Boom for some time and crash as it's artificial manipulating.( don't forget 2011)

Market will go up in the short run i respective of who will win

depending on democratically handing over of power

Long run market will depend how next govt managed the economy

Anyway economic management may better if new govt learn a lesson from past

if mr win market will up showly,if ms will anyone cannot tell anyting bcs if ms win then start the problam two consepts socil democracy (hala urumaya,sohita hime) and libaral (ranil,hakim,sambandan,mano ganashan,unforthnatly chandrika and mitri trasfer to libaral consept bce of persanal problams) then start the power war in parliment devid three grops to mahinda, ranil ,mitri after that anything will happen

If MR wins we can expect the market to continue the market the way it has been. But in the long term i doubt it will sustain.

If MS wins the market can go either way. Investors can speculate that UNP is going to run this government & historically businessmen prefers a UNP government & market can move upwards.

On the other hand people can speculate there is bit of uncertainty especially if Interest rates starts moving upwards.Therefore If the interest rates has not shown a upward trend the market will continue to move upwards with some fluctuations of ASI. Very Happy

As I feel/ see things MS have a good chance of winning the election and interest rates can go up...

Mmm Yes...So what you think about market after election ? As many in this forum saying market will go up for different reasons...And some even name shares to buy...
But I think it's good if we can analyse possible outcomes with possible effects to the market...

They manipulate stock market for two purposes

1 to make money

As i mentioned govt authorities will manipulate stock market to show economy is blooming after MR winning

IF MS win maker forces will be effective

As far as i know no stock market
manipulation by govt authorities up to 2009

Govt manipulation begun after appointing Gamblers to manage SL

financial system

Any way nothing to worry . Immediate effect to investors will be favorable

every stock market have minipulaters therefor if u investing buy shares fandamantaly strong the main problam is small invester need 200-300% gain in short team then going for panei stock the lost there all money there for small investers need to think about that and make the mistake in stock market can learn the stock market
