cse.alpha is correct. MSL didn't make any revenue in Sri Lankan waters after 4Q2009. MSL is the largest ship owner and operator in Sri Lanka with a fleet now made up of six vessels ranging in size between 3,000 and 17, 400 tonnes deadweight which are operated throughout the Indian Ocean.

Further, public holding is increased up 21.10% from 4.34% in the previous quarter. Ceylon Shipping Corporation and DEG Deutsche Investitionsund-Entwioklungs Gesellschaft - MD are not in the directors board. But still they are in the top 20 share holders list. I am wondering there is no announcement in CSE regarding this incident. Who knows, they might dump their stake any time.

MSL has traded in unusual manner today just after the heavy loss in the 4th quarter. More than 56,000 shares has traded and the share price has appreciated almost 50% in a single day. I assume one of the major share holder is dumping his stake.

Sadly this is rapidly detoriating into a situation of blind leading the blind. A bunch of dumb money traders (they all call themselves investors) keep getting themselves into losing trades and scorning those who advise against those trades. My post about 'why share x has declined' is classic example for this.

I am more convinced than ever that dumb money needs to be completely shaken out of the market for a real recovery to start.
