if you bought at 5.9 you should sell at 7.8 0r 8.00 if you are a short term investor with 30% profit. It does not mean value of the share is 7.70 or 7.80. that is happening now. maybe another 2,3 million shares will satisfy the collector. who knows. May be not. 13 million CFT shares flying over market

Yes Gainer you are giving some good information very interesting.

CFT last December buy this property at cheap price nearly 1 Billion. After Revaluation 75% huge value increase.
May be they bought this property for business purpose that'swhy they Revalue for SALE.
May be they will sell at more than revaluation price and Nearly 2 Billion.
Then 100% gain for CFT from this Deal.

CFT surely will reach 9.50 this week and its target is to reach 12. I think in few days it will reach there. No need to worry those who bought.

It is not advisable to compare CFT against SFL, CFT has purchased Unilever land, at a discounted price, 50% discount so if they realise thats huge gain for cft, and if they go for a joint venture thats more than massive gain on this land next this land value will be 3 billion each year 500 million added to company value

Unilever sells over 4-acre Grandpass property for billion rupees to Ceylon and Foreign Trades

Unilever Sri Lanka Ltd., (previously Lever Brothers Ceylon Ltd.) has sold its extensive Grandpass property of over four acres, three roods and 8.6 perches for a consideration of over rupees one billion to Ceylon and Foreign Trades Plc. (CFT).

CFT has called an extraordinary general meeting of its shareholders on Jan 16 for the purpose of passing special resolutions authorizing the purchase an also for borrowing the purchase consideration from Sampath Bank to finance the transaction.

The company will mortgage the property it has bought to Sampath as security against the borrowing and shareholder authorization is also being sought authorizing the CFT board, to dispose at their discretion current investments held by the company including its stores and office complex at K. Cyril. C. Perera Mawatha (Bloemendhal Road) to partially settle the borrowings at prices and terms to be determined by the board.

All the Operating profit(Last quarter 8 million) absorbed by finance cost(8 million).Property should be sold if Dr has brain.It would not only give one time profit but recurring profit as well because of less finance cost or finance income.

They have obtain a term loan facility from SAMP to purchase the property.In the balance sheet that's why the borrowings have jumped from Rs80.0mn to Rs1.0bn as at 31/03/15. However by now they are in a massive profit over the said land which took less than one year period to get that return. Further going concern the company anyway has to sell the said property or some other properties(idling assets) to settle the loan facility since it will be a burden for the company. However since they are now on a propfit of close to Rs1.0bn from the said land, can describe that the directors took a bold decision to purchase the property on behalf of the company and all the shareholders are now going to benefit from it now.

Apart from that they have retained profits of Rs1.0bn in their books as well.

It is 100% sure another announcement is pending here sooner than later with regard to the CFT. That announcement will be a very positive one for the share holders.

We can see the profit in its report, not any other way, any one can understand that this will reach 12 or above easily.
