direct Fn help

I have few questions here are they..
1. my investment account balance shows -946.33 what it means?
2.what does unsettled sales mean?
3. i sold blue diomand shares on 13th june. settle date is 17th june. my problem is what is settle date? what does it mean?

1. Investment Account Balance - The cumulative value of your cash accounts. Now you have only 946.33 Rs to buy shares.

2. Unsettled Sales - The unsettled amount for the sell orders placed

3. If you bought shares on credits then you have to settle in 3 working days

This is very simple to understand. And there are lots of posts regarding DirectFN. Read them carefully.

Your problems are not related only to Direct Fn.
There are many terms you should know when doing business in any field.

BTW, In Direct Fn,

Investment Acct Balance (IAB) = Cash available for withdrawal + unsettled sales (US)

Investment Acct Balance (IAB) = Total cash balance in your account .

Unsettled sales (US) = Shares Sold but the cash is not available yet for you to withdraw (it will be available after the settlement date)

Settlement date (SD) = If you buy a share today, you have to pay before the Settlement Date.

( at the moment SD is 5 days from today . It is called T+5 = Transaction date + 5 days)

If you sell, the cash will be available after T+5 days for you to withdraw.
Until then that amount is shown under Unsettled Sales.

When settlement date arrives, US amount will be moved (added) to Cash available for withdrawal. You can withdraw that amount if you want.
