I wanted to say due to low revenue EPS down so much than previous qtr.

For ALUM normally June get some dip . This time the revenue difference is bigger than previous times.
This may be due to high March figure.

This is not alarming because this dip is mainly due to high sales in previous two quarters. We have to watch next qtr to get perfect idea.

ALUMex price may go up or down in short to medium but has strong future due to planned construction boom in Colombo . Purchasing should be done gradually. The best time may come bit later after a mini peak cycle in one years time .

I already set my ALUMAX agreed arget three months earlier there I said strong buy ALuMax due to many reasons. ALUMAX and ALUF are going to one of strategic investments in future.
It has discussed last ALUM AGM also. That's the reason ALUF also gone for strong buying today.
In november ALUF will sign a billion sales contract so ALUM also will join to supply the stuffs. Both ALUM & ALUF in this sector are good to buy

Yes ,see today nearly 150,000 shares traded. Last quarter EPS not much important. We have to see coming two quarter financials. This will be very good to see in coming financials.
ALUF has 126 million cash in hand .

Its OK. But I go for revenue too to see the overall performances of the businesses.
Because just Profit may give you false signals, sometimes. When rivals emerge revenue may go down and affect long term but you can show profits than the same period last year .

This is general view, I cannot say ALUMEx is bad or going down at this moment. Other main supplier Lanka Aluminium also in the same group .

Personal Note and info: Last week I vent to Alumex in Sapugaskande to get powder coat bars in different colors. Normally you get white and black coated bars through their sales points. If you need color matching to tiles or walls in the background you can ask them to make them in different colors . BTW, this is not like car paint mixing, you can only get the colors of the powder they have imported. Cost is not much higher than white bars. They have 10-12 colors.

The real golden era for alumex should come at the middle of highly anticipated construction boom in and around port city.
Interior and exterior cladding is done after the construction of super structure.

One technical problem they must find answers before that date is their bar designs.

Aluminium frames of doors and windows (etc.) are made by fixing different section of bars together. They are made in inter macing designs to be fixed together at the sites to get the reacquired cross section.

In Sri Lanka at the moment you need many different sections to make one length of a final bar. In some other countries they make improved designs and only 2 or 3 sections needed to make same length. Working speed and output is much higher with improved designs.
Our people has to improve molding for that .

Otherwise tax free bulk importing from Dubai will be much profitable than buying our products.

Alumex can be a good counter but there are even more good counters in the market valuable more than ALUM as well as trading at low PE multiples.

better to screen through few more and select the most valuable one.
