Has anyone heard the news that SFL Management is in discussions with Vandell Financial Services SA to sell a controlling stake in the Company at 1.70x NAV? The valuation is inline with various acquisition that happened in the space previously. The NAV of SFL was 16.89 as at the end June 2016, so acquisition price is expected to be 28.70/- per share!!!
There has been quite a bit of interest in the counter over the last month or so with the price appreciating from 16/- to 19/-. This might be the reason why!!!
My broker has advised me that there has been considerable interest in the counter from investors at Nation Lanka Equities, a brokerage that specializes in catering to foreign investors. Please share if you have heard any information on the above.
