My take on Maharaja
He is a Sri Lankan living in Sri Lanka with close links with the family members of the JINS group. Or he could even be a family member, probably lived in India, UK and even USA. His sole reason to have heavily promoted Orient Finance when JINS family owned more than 99 % of the shareholding is a point in this direction.

He knew Orient Finance would go up in price not because of the crappy reasons he attributed, but he probably knew the parent company’s discussions with Allianz.

Now that they have a billions out of that deal they are daydreaming of a market collapse so that they could buy Blue Chips at ridiculously low prices.

I read some one saying, name Maharaja suggests his links to MR. Not really, it associates with India.

Today (current time) CSE turnover 75 Mn. Less than Negombo Malu market turnover. 

I see a positive to market only with Political developments. market friendly government must come to power. If not better to trade in negombo malu market.

Latest negative news to economy ;

Japan banned tea imports from SL.
Big tax imposed on Gem export. Gem export 20% drop and experts say it will drop by 50%.
Foreign remittance will also drop due to new tax imposed.

NAV is around 7.40. This is 90% held by Hikkaduwa Beach Resorts their group company. So no way they will sell below NAV plus how can liquidity come to market as they will not sell 90% in the market. Please, Check the quater report and look at the new entry. Do not argue, If you are only know the NAV. Top 2 seems to be a trader now

I'm afraid that kind of patriotism has brought us where we are today. I understand your feelings Reyaz, but trading shares and patriotism don't go hand in hand.  You selling a share doesn't imply you don't love your mother land cos u can't do it alone, there is always someone else on the other side of the counter who's willing to buy. 

There are thousand and one things you can do to show your love for the country and holding on to a loss making share isn't one of them. How about not voting for uneducated criminals for a start?? that sure sounds like more patriotic.

You know that thing they say about when you repeat a lie, over and over again, after sometime u start believing it's true. 

It's the same thing they keep on telling that we only have leaders to choose from phottuwa, SJB, UNP, JVP, TNA SLMC ect.

Truth is this country has gone without a proper leader for centuries even in the past. We have had eras where we have been ruled by other nations. But we were a race never backed down. (By race I meant, Sri Lankans Not just sinhalese, Tamil, Muslims or any particular religion but those who were born on this land in general).

Every time this country had gone through such leaderless directionless phases, important/influential figures in the society has brought forward leaders and presented them to the people / nation. Those influential figures used to be clergy, poets, artists, ect.

professionals, true clergy (I mean not those monks who chant pirith and tie pirith nool to the same set of thieves and other religious clergy who does the same) and influential people of this country should step forward and I believe will step forward and put forward few leaders who could make that change. History usually repeats. It will be more sooner than later cos we are running in a system of down and failure. It is very apparent in every direction u look. So lets not believe a lie. 

Oh it's not a fairytale. True people friendly leaders who put country first exists even in todays world. Google Jose Mujica and the likes and you will believe me
