Hi all

LOCAL companies are EXPLORING OPPORTUNITIES as a result of C19 and IMPORT BAN which is likely to remain for next 2~3 years.

Out of all local companies and it’s market values, I see HIGH POTENTIAL in LWL and LALU primarily based of HIGH DIVIDENDS PAYOUT in coming quarters.

In future are there any restriction to import raw material to LALU due to further reduction of foreign reserves. If we consider this with tile sector I do not feel such fear for tiles as most raw materials from locally available.

I dont think it happen. compare with imports these are very small values.

otherwise government has to face another big problem.

Alluminium companies use aluminum billet blocks for production which can be either locally sourced or imported.

LOCALLY SOURCED RAW MATERIALS
------------------------------------------
LALU have the LARGEST LOCAL ALUMINIUM SCRAP PLANT having the CAPACITY of 1,000 Metric Tones. PARQ only have about 300 Metric Tones. LALU mainly source from local market currently. Therefore, even if LALU persist any operational risk they have a CLEAR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE sourcing aluminum in SL. The aluminum industry started in 1985~86 times and the LALU have enough scrap to ensure sales.

IMPORTED RAW MATERIALS
----------------------------------

The CBSL has asked the Banks to manage FX by managing inflows and outflows. So, now Banks take account the daily remittance inflows, inward remittance from Exports and manage the NET OPEN POSSITIONS. The Banks are instructed to pay import payments for all manufacturing, exports and essentials (main food and pharmaceutical) but heavily curtail on non essentials such as clothing, food items not required, gold, vehicles, etc. Therefore, the devil is not dark as we think.

Aluminum Sector OUTLOOK
--------------------------------

All ALUMINIUM companies is enjoying a heavenly DEMAND from individual customers/projects where they order goods now anticipating of a price hike in months to come. Hence, overall GROWTH OUTLOOK for aluminum and tiles VERY POSITIVE given the context where Sri Lanka has to block imports for next 9~12 months due to external trade balance crisis and to manage pressure on USD/LKR.

LALU and PARQ have high growth potential. However, LALU is the most UNDERVALUED. Most of these conpanies now enjoying PRE FILLED SALES BOOK for next 12 months.
