This is my assumption. First of all, it is absurd to sell a share for any lesser price when there is a mandatory offer. That shows, either the sellers foresee an opportunity in some other stock or investment that can guarantee a better return than to hold on to it as MO unfolds or they have no idea of MO.

For those who are willing to hold, they should be willing to do so for a longer time. The reason is, once the mandatory officer is done, the trading volumes of the share will drastically go down and therefore the liquidity of the share. There won't be many buyers interested in buying the share at a higher price than the MO price. Buyer if there will be one, will most likely be the major shareholder in this case. We all know that in the race of patience between corporates and retailers, corporates have the edge. Smile

What is a few HNWI get together and buy the entire quantity that is left in the market and the price moves to around Rs.13/-. Then PGP will have no option to buy it off the HNWI at a premium to Rs.13. Blackstone is a private equity company, they would want to keep GLAS private. The HNWI can make a killing

That's a very much possible scenario. However, if they do so, they will try to do so at a lesser price than MO. who would want to sell it at a lesser price to a HNWI is the question. What ever said and done, retailers holding smaller quantities lose the bargaining power unless the quantities they are holding are large once the MO is done. Quantity matters here.

Rs.15 is fair, recently i read Asia securities Blackstone deal confirmation article. according to that EV per share Rs.14.70. have more chances, Blackstone again revise MO price.

Blackstone is not beggar. world recognized US based larger pvt. equity fund. recently they acquired so many business as a whole. waiting another achievement. extremely sorry for panic people earlier. we told them, you will have to suffer. now times to wait another announcement. I think if they are unable to collect more than 90% this time they will have to go for a higher price. But unfortunately our people are giving away even below 11.60. SAD!

Possibility of upward revision of offer. From offer document.

"3.4.6 Working capital and net debt adjustment:
3.4.6.1 The initial Offer Price of LKR 11.60 assumes a certain level of net debt and working capital of PGC as of the 30th of March 2021.
3.4.6.2 Depending on the actual levels of net debt and working capital of PGC as of the 30th of March 2021, the aforesaid Offer Price may be adjusted: (i) only upwards but not downward; and (ii) no later than 20 days from the date of announcement of the Offer.
3.4.6.3 In the event that Offer Price is adjusted upwards, then all Public Shareholders will receive the benefit of this increased price, by way of an increase in the Offer Price.
3.4.6.4 In no event will the Offeror reduce the Offer Price. In other words, in all events, the Public Shareholders will receive at least Sri Lankan Rupees 11.60 per share for their shares."

Blackstone is expecting market price to go above 11.60. Thats why they have put this clause to keep the shareholders interested in the MO without selling to the parties that are collecting all the shares

it can be due to their achievement.. if they recovered what they want from 11.20 price then they will move to another counter, since there are good counters still going at cheaper prices.. and the market is in uptrend, why hold money to get 40 cent gain.. and also the documentation part and manual payments system..
