How can i find past PER values and PBV values for each sector ? Is there any data base to get a annual average of those factors? Only current values are displayed in the cse web site.. How they calculate the industry average PER or PBV for a sector which displayed in CSE web site?

You can try your broker research department ( if they have one) and ask for previous research reports. Usually broker firms research reports have these.

Sector PER which is displayed in cse.lk website is calculated by deviding the market capitalization of all companies in the given sector from the total amount of profit after taxation reported by all companies in that sector. Note that the profit attributable to the equity holders as per the latest annual report is used for the this calculation. (The interim financial data is not used as these are un-audited data which is subject to changes).

Therefore, you will frequently find discrepancies between the sector PER calculated by the broker agencies and in cse.lk website as broker agencies tend to use data from latest four quarters available irrespective of whether they are audited or not.

You will have to contact your broker to get the historical data as slstock also suggested above.
