My range bound for the market during next 9 months is from 6900 to 9000. If we see attractive earnings in the coming quarters market can become attractive
We should study DNH research report on their bullish prediction. They have pointed out some important points such as peg ratio, interest rate, earning growth and some other factors.
When we consider following factors we can become bullish now
Cheap PEG valuations
There are no attractive alternative investments available in the market now
Lower interest rate environment
Lower oil
Increased tourism in the country
Emerging companies have more and more businesses now
Forward P/E ratio and on peg ratio basis some companies are very attractive
We can expect attractive earnings from companies in the coming quarters.( For companies that I selected can have above average and improved earnings in the coming quarters)
We also can expect some rerating
Positive response for bond issue globally
Improved expatriate remittances
Two of the main international credit rating agencies have given improved assessments of Sri Lanka’s creditworthiness.
We also can expect improved agri-products during second half of this year
Finally there are mega trends in Asia and Sri-Lanka
I am a believer of multi year bull market in Asia
As DNH pointed out stock market is more attractive than real estate, treasury bills in Sri-Lanka
