he means broker credit. not a margin account.

MerdoxR wrote:Sorry for the late reply guys. I know diversification is vital in share market. But I took the risk and traded in ups and downs of the market and made 8 Million of total. Then at last was with the margin of around 4 million worth stocks extra market started to fall. I was holding as much as I can and then my broker kept selling time to time to correct the margin levels. I was pissed I told him to clear the entire margin that is where I incurred a massive loss. I just wanted to share what happen to me not intending for others to buy. To gain knowledge from you guys as an advice for me and I need a lot to learn seeing form my experience from your point of view. Thankx fellow members.

We know that u want to share ur experience.. we do that a lot too. Sorry abt the losses u make.. We can only have the sympathy towards the situation..

However what's skeptical here is how u turn 4laks into 8 mil.. well if ur that lucky or smart there'll be a lot of guys who would pay u millions for your advice Wink

Still u've not answered my earlier post.. Now I smell a rat..

Ur total investment is 4 laks so I dont think we're fools to believe u got at least 400% margin facility from any company.. That would be absurd to think even..
Even if u get a 100% margin trading from broker thats 8 laks in total. Now r u telling us u made 1000% profits on a 8 laks portfolio.. WOW Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Time for you to explain in detail how u earned 80 laks..

OFC he can't make those returns with just keeping stocks from very bottom level and selling at top! The secret he has not shared is that after he bougth those shares at very bottom he has sold them at very peaks of each run. and haveboguth when they go down and kept doing this perfectly! So his margins get better as wel and he keeps buying these shares at every drop at least price ans selling at highest price Laughing Laughing Laughing

I agree with you 100% cuz I've done the same.. I mean not precisely caught the each pull back but 10-15 rupee difference and sold at peaks with 20-25 rupee less..
But it doesn't make u a millionaire Wink
I only invested in BFL/TAFL abt 2.5 laks and didnt earn more than 8 laks as I could remember..

This is a Cinderella story mate... Twisted Evil Twisted Evil A 2-3 mil with 100% margin is predictable but 8 million???

Ayyoo sallii Wink

I think there are positives to take from this post and things to take with some common sense ;-)

But there might be an accurate parts in this story as he stresses and we should admire that a 23 years old did this.

It would be great MerdoxR you could clarify further exactly the process you used. If you are that good at finding peaks and lows and as you were mostly a trader, I am surprised you did not sell your remaining GRAN also when it is starting to come down.

Anyway like NPP said from time to time there were people with fancy stories like this and we turned goo goo and ga ga. I mean no insult to MerdoxR.

I also do not expect poultry companies to run even closer to previous highs as the enviroment is not there as before ( yet).

But if this rumor of chicken price hike comes true , then they can run considerably.

This happened when I was 22. Although I was not as successful as MerdoxR, I too made quite a bit. I could've easily made more than double of what I made cos I was too early to sell being satisfied with the gain I got. Then I bought high and sold higher again. Anyways, this was my first few months in the market, and the experience I got after this boom was the best I got.

I made that money buying on low and selling at peaks time to time. I made use of the red days for buying and selling on a 2nd or 3rd consecutive green day. I was lucky enough. All praise be to God. My broker was shocked and said lucky account. I never listened to him after I knew he is useless like all the rest of the brokers. My knowledge and good luck came from investor.lk where all traders meet. Cheers everybody for a rich future Very Happy

Good luck guys. All the best. Hope all will remember my story when you see the chicken run Very Happy

I left BFL at that time when market started to fall. And I still have some GRAN,REEF,JKH.... Which I bought at higher levels...waiting till market comes back on track. No use making moves now. Everything has to be stable and predictable position. Now market seems picking up well.
All the best. I did not just hold the BFL shares only. I was trading using the RED GREEN days for my advantage.
