At what price it will be started?

I hope less selling of VONE, but LFIN, VFIN, PMBC, like wise start run as much as possible given value to VONE and mid of the next month big players will start to sell VONE.

will it start 30- 40 or 40- 50 range .. it depends . if there will be a huge buying presser and big orders it can reach even 50 , but if huge selling pressure occurs it differs.

there are several things to consider .

The ASI is low at the current market condition and lot of investers are having red PF so if they had a chance to cut loss by VONE they will go for sell

PPL who cleared money from their pf to invest would like to go for a quick gain than holding

As all the fundamentals and previous winners are in low prize ppl who can gain from VONE will exit and go for future investments and for averaging

if it starts to trade 40-50 guyies who had pp will sell to have quick gains and will enter at low due to their own sell down.

And there are several positive factors also to be considered

VONE is the most sound and well retailer oriented IPO prized IPO where the PP was also done at 25

today also there was gains on vallible finance and Rocel , so tomorrow can be the day for VONE

PPL who exited from earlier due to the down trend are handful of money to enter in to a very promising profile

Expected future growth may persuade investors to pay premium prize for vone.

So So lets keep best hopes as we know all of us is having some amount of VONE at our pockets .. good luck. .

It shows me in DFN in the afternoon. I received 2200 shares from 40k which i applied.

According to the market value of its subsidiaries VOne should have a market price as follows.
As @ 2011/07/07 closing price
RCL-158.7
LFIN-181.40
SAMP-242

Then VONE PRICE= RCL*51%+LFIN*51%+ SAMP*15%
=158.7*0.51+181.40*0.51+242*0.15
=209.75 almost 210

I have not considered the investments on Delmege and Orient Garment...Please make me correct if this value is not true.I think this share is having much value than we think(most of them saying 60-65 worth). Is it worth to sell a share having a more worth than we think? Your Valuable comments are expected.

If We holds a 1 VONE share we own 51% of 1 RCL share 51% of 1 LFIN sahre & 15% of 1 SAMP share. To have a true value we need to consider the individual market prices of each share for example as to buy a RCL share 158.7 has to be spent. Hope you get it. IF i'm wrong please correct me..aswel

This must b the calculation methodology used by most retailers and that's why share price go sky even LOFC went up to 22.
Regulators here is the point.
Just teach the retailers how to calculate share value. No need further rules and restrictions to control the market.

Dear friend, I do not tell you are wrong or right, but I hope you would be a successful investor if you can read more about company valuations, specially the companies up for listing. I am not going to explain anything in detail as these things can be learnt by your self if you search in Google.

These valuation models are used to determine Ordinary Shares of a Company.

1. P/E Ratio method
2. Dividend Valuation Method
3. Net Assets Value method
There are some more methods and you will see them if you are eager to study.

I believe you are not going to take the controlling power of the company at this IPO, so all three methods can be used if you know the basics and variables needed to each method.

However, you need to consider other factors also and if you give more weight to other factors influencing share prices I hope you would reach your suggested answer, my prediction is well below that.

The method you have used is correct for valuing some types of assets (and therefore stocks) but is dead wrong for others. Unfortunately in the case of VONE, it's the latter.

The method you use is what is used to value indexed funds. Why does it work there? Because by definition, the fund is nothing more than a bunch of stocks put together. You are doing nothing more than to buy a piece of that. So the valuation of the fund is exactly the price of ths shares (well there would be some commissions and other fees applied, but you get the idea).

For a company, that mechanism does not work. Why? Because holding on to other shares would not be the only action it would do. In case of VONE, they are going to build a hotel. And the share prices of the companies it hold doesnt make a material difference because they wont be selling it out.

You can't value the share by using this mathematical calculation.

Actually if you want to calculate it mathematically consider the number of shares them.

But remember it never gives you a real valuation.

My friend, I am presuming you are doing this calculation as you are not aware of the correct methods and not for any other reason.

As VOL is listed under Diversified sector,

a) look at it current EPS
b) define a reasonable PE compared to sector and future growth

and calculate it value. You can also consider the NAV also and look at ROE, PEG ratio etc.

Above method is not the correct way.
