Softlogic Holdings PLC is a Sri Lanka-based holding company. The Company is engaged in providing management services, renting property space to subsidiaries, providing financial assistant to subsidiaries and providing other support services. Its segments include Information Technology, Leisure, Retail, Automobile, Financial Services, Health Care Services and Other. In the healthcare sector, the Company operates Asiri Medical Hospital, Asiri Surgical Hospital, Asiri Central Hospital, Asiri Hospital Matara and Asiri Laboratories. Its information and communications technology (ICT) product lines include mobile handsets and accessories, computers, software and hardware solutions. The business activities of the Company's subsidiaries include ICT, automobiles, retailing of consumer electronics, manufacturing garments and fashion retailing and hoteliering. The Company is also engaged in providing insurance services, stock brokering, management consultancy and financial advisory services.

Sri Lanka’s Softlogic Holdings IPO which has been oversubscribed within hours of its opening this morning has seen heavy interest from the foreign investors.

Chairman and the founder of the Group Ashok Pathirage said “This is the first time after the Dialog IPO; foreign investors have shown such an interest for an IPO taking place in the CSE”.

He also said retail investors too have applied in heavy numbers to obtain a stake out of the Softlogic shares.

Softlogic, a diversified conglomerate which is planning to muster over Rs. 4 billion via this IPO will close the subscription list by this evening.

Ford Motor Company yesterday made a comeback into the Sri Lankan automobile market with four class leading vehicle models, a new and exclusive Ford dealer and a bundle of growth expectations.

Appointing Future Automobiles, a subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings as the company’s exclusive dealer, Ford is confident that the sales which are “not quite there yet” might take a turn towards the positive and serve up a better slice of the growth pie in the coming years.

It's a good news. Ford has a high reputation in the world market. Good that they appointed a company like Softlogic Holdings as their agent here. This will add value to softlogic as well. Good news for softlogic shareholders.

I am planning to issue stop payment for all the 4 cheques I have issued for soft logic. I have a sampath professional account.
1) If I take the money from my current account and the cheques get rejected , How much do they charge per cheque ?
2) If I instruct the bank to stop payment, how much do they charge ?
3) Have they already deducted money from your account for the IPO ?

If softlogic is intelligent enough (which i think they are) they would have deducted the money before expo took the dip and people start to think exactly as you think right now. Anyways, how about

4) go ahead with it, and sell it in the first half hour ??

It may be too late. Horse already left. No point in putting the bolt. Friends going after IPOs wrong. U ban buy for price lower than IPO price later.

Softlogic Holdings PLC boosted Group Revenue to nearly Rs.40.0 Bn (a 35.3% growth) while Profit before tax grew to Rs.2.3 Bn (up 80.3%) and profit after tax increased to Rs.1.8 Bn (up 80.3%) for the financial year 2014/2015.

Asset growth: Total assets at end - March 2015 rose to Rs.87.6 Bn, from Rs.65.9 Bn last year, said Softlogic Holdings PLC Chairman, Ashok Pathirage.

He identified Opening of Group’s first resort, Centara Ceysand Resorts & Spa, acquisition of Odel, commencement of ‘Samsung’ operations and the representation of new brands (Tommy Hilfiger, Pepe Jeans, Whirlpool and Crocs). As some key strategic moves last year.

“The Odel acquisition was the year’s highlight, and we now own 93.39% of the company.”

“Our Financial Services sector moved steadily during the year, with good performances all round. Asian Alliance Insurance, which ranks 5th in Life Insurance, led the way. Overall Gross Written Premium for both Life and General insurance reached Rs.4.9 Bn, an increase by 16.1% over the previous year.

Life business recorded a growth of 20.4%. General Insurance, which enjoys some synergy with our Healthcare and Automotive Sectors, saw premiums rise 8.9%.”

Truly an undervalue share compare to other companies in same category.
Hospital sector should perform well
Finance and insurance arm also start doing well.

Rs15 is a really good entry point.
