In recent days, there has been a significant increase in daily tourist arrivals.


Tourist arrivals for 20, 21, and 22 October totalled 13,446, with a daily average of 4,482 arrivals. Daily average tourist arrivals from 01-19 October 2023 stood at 3,385 persons.

Sri Lankan Tourist arrivals for the month of November were recorded at 151,496 marking the highest monthly tourist arrivals in 2023 so far.

The average arrivals per day had increased by +43% to 5,050 (vs. 3,523 arrivals in October 2023).
