EXPO EPS for Q2 is expected to be more than Q1. Expect over Rs. 2/- EPS for Q1+Q2. Annualise this you get Rs. 4/- + eps for the full year. At a conservative PE of 8 times (below market), the value of this share should be Rs. 32/- +. Global freight rates haven't changed, there is no reason for them not to do well in Q3 & Q4 too. However, there were one-off gains in Q1&Q2 due to charter flights moving PPE - which won't repeat in Q3/Q4 but still, we can expect around Rs. 4/- EPS for this year. At curent market price of Rs. 13.30/-, EXPO can easily double or even triple in value within 1-2 months.

Expo has given dividend in the past and they might give a dividend as well.

EXPO P/E - 10
Estimated EPS - Minimum 2.40
Market Price Justifiable with the support of Fundamentals - RS.24

Not a buy or sell recommendation and please do not buy if you think the share is overvalued.

It looks lot of trading is being done at the range of 11.90 - 13.00 levels and i think the practice would be as such until the next financial release to the market.

There will be collectors lined up to collect the share. Similar to what happened to the investors who sold at bargain prices (When Covid-19 Panic hit this Sunday) where the price reduced to 11 will loose their hard earned money. After couple of days or week share price will shoot up.

History will repeat. Wise will win. I am not typing a story just telling what happened as an example for what is going to happen. If you panic you will LOOSE.
(Fundamentally this share is very strong. I don’t see why investors should sell. Can someone logically explain a reason to sell other than fear for a share which is performing well specially under Covid.)

*Banks will be in trouble due to rate cuts and they will have to support the economy and listen to Central Bank.

*No reasons for Hotel share prices to shoot up when we don’t expect tourists

*I don’t see a huge growth in Property and real estate sector as well under a covid situation

The companies which will win,
1) Supermarkets
2) Telecommunications
3) Exports of PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment)
4) Hospitals and Pharmaceuticals
5) IT based companies
6) Possibly Investment Companies which have bought shares at lower prices during Covid and are now enjoying Capital Gains.

(Can’t comment on plantations since I don’t know anything)

If you are holding these company shares just why do you need to sell them when they are safer than FD since FD rates might reduce too.

In my view people should *Panic Buy* these shares to protect their investments from other risky shares ! 😂

I don’t know about this sector @Captain but VPEL is really attractive at current market price. Good dividend paying company as well.

Will do a research about this sector and shares listed !

Hi DKbogols,

I wish to reiterate the following content and wanted to stress the how conservative you are in your computation by considering the PE @ 8 when cf. to original purchase price by the mother Company paying Rs 10.70 for 586,000,000 shares.

The following content extracted to confirm the purchase of 586,000,000 shares at a price of Rs 10.70 per share by the Parent Company of EXPO when group level NAV was at Rs. 5.19 as at 31 December 2013 and at company level it was Rs. 3.25. The expect EPS was Rs 0.4.

Summary of the TOB
(1) Offeror - SG HODLINGS GLOBAL PTE. LTD.
(2) Offeree - Expolanka Holdings PLC
(3) Type of share to be offered - Ordinary share
(4) Purchase price - 10.7 LKR per share
This purchase price are calculated and decided by the method comparing with similar companies of the industry, the method by comparing with similar transactions and DCF method, considering its asset, business and projection.

Source - http://www.ft.lk/front-page/japan-sagawas-deal-with-expolanka-boosts-lankas-hub-aspirations/44-292612%C2%A0

Hence, 1Q2020 EPS @ Rs 0.89 and NAV is @ 7.32 which we see a significant improvement in business performance. The expected earnings growth in coming quarters will surely surprise many investors in CSE. Hence, RSI levels or technical charts may not always support the sentiment of the share.

All who followed and bought earlier/averaged EXPO in recent pull back, would have been surely amazed to see how strong the recovery was with high market capitalization over Rs 500Mn in most of the trading days in CSE, which is more than 16% of total market turnover.

EXPO is one of a GEM type of a stock in CSE as it's anyways positive to COVID19 risk and performance increases with COVID19 impact specially ascertaining the winter season in Europe starting from November which may increase COVID19 waves [I wish not]

EXPO is a paradise for INVESTORS as well as TRADERS. The share is still highly UNDERVALUED.

This is not a clear buy or sell recommendation. Invite everyone do their own research before making a judgement.

Good Luck

Hi ONTHEMONEY

Yes, my estimates are conservative generally. This is way any upside to my expectations would be an added bonus Smile

In terms of EXPO, yes you are correct, PE of 8 times is severely understated compared to the mother company purchases which was around 20-25x PER. But we cannot expect similar levels of PE multiples in the current scenario since the company is more matured & generally negative outlook in the global scale.

However, from my in depth analysis, it is clear that EXPO is currently benefiting from high freight rates while effectively maintaining same GP % - meaning that this is a direct addition to bottom line (since overheads are fairly fixed).

Also note that this company is hedged against the dollar. With LKR expected to hit around 220+, this will add a further 15%-20% to top line revenues. This too will add further to the bottom line and to future EPS.

Moreover, this company is positively correlated to C19. With a possible vaccination 6 months away, and considering at may take a minimum of 18-24 months to completely eradicate C19 after vaccine, the medium term outlook is very strong.

If I am not being conservative, I would have applied at least 15x PE. Meaning that this share is worth Rs. 60/- to 70/-.

Adding more to the story, due to high demand for the share with low supply in free float, the above valuation is not entirely out of the realms of short term possibility/realisation.

This is not a buy or sell recommendation - just an analysis from an independent investor.

Hi DKbogols,

I also feel for innocent individuals sold with a panic mode on last Monday and Tuesday thinking of a possible COVID19 impact to EXPO which is unlikely given the company has outperformed exceptionally better than peer competitors specially during the COVID first wave. EXPO currently in a consolidated bull run.

I observe a strong consolidation in each Rs 50~90 cents range. This is what i see in a trading eye.

However, on an investor sentiment, strong market collection can be witnessed with number of buy SPLITS in each large buckets of orders in the book which is a strong sign to expedite the phase of EXPO by Rs 1~1.5 in this consolidated bull run

Good Luck

I agree. Be Patient with this share for five months minimum. sit and relax. Enjoy your life and come back by March 2021. My advise is not to involve in buying and selling like traders who are busy. Buy and stay like a King. You will be rich.

(They have usually paid dividends even when times were not good. Hence, you can sit and back watch the show)

I am also in agreement with you guys, this share is worth over 20/ now. Given the strong buying presure every day I think EXPO will move 0.50-1.00 every day next week until it reaches 20/- and then will start a slow journey towards PE multiple of 10X when their Q2 results are released

[size=23]Also Expo taught us a lesson : not to buy Blue Chips on a running market ( not Bull)
@CSE_Media
buy only what is hot (running )and penny stocks. I was concentrating only on Blue chips until last week and later realized if you want to make money must go with the trends n buy junk

Expo is a wonderful share @CSE_Media it went from 2.50 to 15 within a very short period. I was scared to buy expo until it reached to 12 per share and I was comfortable to buy @ 12 and exited today @ 14.50 - 15 and I am happy. Expo is a good vehicle to get in and get out daily.

Some members in the forum has exited Expo and wants other investors to “Exit” from this share (reason i read was “run is enough” and it seems they are tired of making money from one share)

Mr.Kandiah Balendra (Former Chairman of JKH) has invested 22Mn shares in Expo don’t worry till he exits. (Check the Interim F/S)

I am really worried about this mentality. If a share is fundamentally good investors will come to that share, demoting one share as soon as you exited from the share is disappointing.

These people never published in forum when they entered to Expo at 12 because they were gambling. After they exited they mention they exited to create panic and furthermore, encourage investors to follow them.

If you Purchased EXPO above current market price hold. is my suggestion. Don’t panic for the remarks made by some members in the forum for their own reasons.

If you still want to exit. It is your decision but evaluate your decision by considering both Pros and Cons.

Last Quarter EPS 0.89
Lets expect an EPS of 0.40 per quarter for next 3 quarters (This is very low)
Then the total Annual EPS is 2.09.
P/E is 10 (Again a conservative P/E)

Then Market Price should be minimum - RS.20

(Calculated based on keeping very low values to reflect an adverse situation)

Even if you are entering into a new share don’t gamble. Identify and evaluate reasons which might trigger its upward movement. Once you are confident based on your analysis go ahead.

GOOD LUCK !
