Currently, no one is banned in the forum. There were over 2,000 banned members, who we released immediate upon the reshuffle. Who said Smallville is banned?, He is a free man. He was also released together with other prisioners. Smallville is still the an Administrator and is now at large, but he will have limited powers until elections are over. If he become the President then he will have absolute power of the forum. This is a democratic forum. Nomination for President closes on 28th February 2014.

Banning members would not do any good for this forum,only exception should be when some members, use abusive language, insult others, and most of all try manipulate by saying
"this is the Best share in the market, u can buy at present" etc.etc. and misguide others.

Thanks. Thats why we unbanned 2000 members, banned by the previously Administration. Future banning will be as per the mentioned guidelines.

I was a moderator too, I knew who were banned and why such actions were taken. Few Peopls abused their rights and wanted many agendas, political speeches here. So there were not even 10 ban members, rijayasooruya, whitebull, Rajitha, Sanju351, the professional being in the forefront. and by the time you took over the admin poweres to your hands and bring havoc, only the first three were there per my memory

So what really happened? U unlocked 2000 inactive accounts for you to do Gilmarts!!! As Redbull once said, voting can start count from 9000+, I dont know anyways I'm not interested too.

Say, for an example, I was the admin who got kicked out. Then you send a mail to me asking to reset my password. Why should I even respond?

I fully agree with you. When a member post a similar question, I am compelled to answer. Otherwise they think I am purposely avoiding. But as you say, I would try minimize these issues being brought to public. Thank you for your advise. Hope other members also follow advise given by Mr Dayaratne.

Yes good sugestion, I fully agree with you. If no lies had been told earlier nobody would be asking questions too.

What Mr.GM does in the name of decocrazy is cheap and low class, that's why I'm also against it. Adding to this creating new ids to support oneself is also cheap

I think you should ignore this guy. You do not need to answer for each and everything he is asking. It is obvious his intention/agenda here.

As a relatively new member of this forum, in my humble opinion, the decision by the management to offer financial compensations to the key contributors could be counter-productive. Financial incentives, by their very nature, cause for people to narrow their focus and lose sight of the objectives they're supposed to achieve. These volunteers have elevated this forum to the current position because they have had autonomy, mastery and purpose. Daniel Pink illustrates this phenomena in his famous Ted talk- http://new.ted.com/talks/dan_pink_on_motivation Had they been driven purely by financial incentives, they'd not have bothered to contribute to this forum in the first place. Also, financial incentives might compromise the quality and relevancy of the content here. As I feel, what the management should do is to enable these brilliant volunteers have autonomy, mastery and purpose. Carrots and sticks is hardly the best approach to keep them motivated.

Why you be an employee? Cuz you need money. Company pays ou for your work. If they dont pay you, would you be interested in working?
In addition, Say, if you're a financial professional, and if someone asks you to help him out in his tax issues, you would help right? But then again you would discuss and agree upon a payment for your knowledge, time spent, etc. Except for a relative or a closer friend.

In my view, its actually rewards and recognition keeps a person gets going and doing something special. This is true as per Maslow's Hierachy of needs, where the fourth need when all the basic needs are secured, "Esteem", is the expected factor for such behaviour.

Maslow's theories may be old but looking at what happened here, I cant even throw those out as this is a classic example. I dont wanna go about how nobody cares in here abt such but that's the truth.

I am not a member of anybody's  team.

I wrote as a freelancer.
Somehow, I worked well with most of the people came here.

Now I find most of them are missing.
I heard they have formed a new forum in the internet after previous owners sold this to a new party .
The new owners have appointed a new GMNet to develop this site and he is working according to the plan given.

If the current owners also decide to sell this someday, sure I will bid !
