I want to ask you one question...??? Did any body forecast or predict last acquisition by Mr Dhammika..??

he always do what ever he wants. thats it . There are enough or more shares in the CSE than VONE. If you realy want to invest in VONE group companies why dont you invest in LFIN, RCL , it self..Why VONE..?

But its based on your own analysis ,its upto you, If you can predict or get inside info Mr Dhammika's action or Mr Nimal's action then it would be the best place to invest.

those ppl have enough and more money.Not like us.

For me Max 22 or 25 a correction should take place before mapping any further upward momentum. The correction should be at least 50% where new BUYerS will come in.

VONE is the holder.. Profits/dividends are attributed to increase the book value of VONE
This is also cheaper in price compared to LFIN & RCL. You can buy a big amount and a rupee increase in price can bring a good profit too.

However, separate investment is not too bad at all. Especially I was interested in RCL two years back and did allocate some funds. Now that Mr. D. Perera owns the tile market, future prospects are at his will

so on that basis only i mentioned the value of VONE here.

Yesterday i mentioned about ABAN a value GEM. but still people tend to go behind shares where the companies are not even in operation up to now. Eg. some of Reef family shares. BBH still under construction. but why? that is my question.

we all should direct these people to value shares where they can buy easily, as u said low value. further VONE is valuble in terms of future, high liqudity etc.etc. i sold 20000 LFIN shares to DP at Rs 20/ when he was buying in to it. i bought it at the IPO at the same price and later it came down to Rs 5.0 levels as well. i was struggling to sell it and Mr. DP came to my rescue. This is how i thought at that point. As per today VONE may be not attractive in terms of fundamentals. But DP can do wonders as he know how to add values to it.

This has happened to every companies that he invested in. just think CONN, HAYL,LFIN..etc........

VONE has a lot of goodwill that is not being impaired. This is due to the type of accounting rules used.

I think Chinwi has explained clearly why the REEF family is valued on another thread. Just let me try..

You can buy all the established hotels now at a premium price.. But once upon a time those were even cheap, intelligent ppl knew the hotel sector was the next best thing and bought. And they reap benefits now. Besides, post war era was the best for hotels. No fear of a civil war hence tourists had no hesitation coming into SL. Shares appreciated in multi beggars.

When the construction of CITW & CITK are over, there'll be demand for the down south hotels especially sea front villas as well. U can buy CITW @ 8.20 today but in 2015, the price may be so high. At least a 100% appreciation could be expected when the operations start.
CITK is a 50 villas + 150 room hotel once developed. U can also see the NAV increase REEF gets with their revenue.
When the hotels start its operations, hype will take it to the levels that we cant buy its shares.. So better late than worry know?

But u have to be cautious as well, a new hotel may take years to show positive revenue and it may also badly reflect on REEF. So this is a long term investment which there can be short term opportunities in the market.

I.e. BINN was trading heavily some months ago.. Why? Was there any thing left other than a bear land after the hotel was destroyed by Tsunami?
I dont know whether the land is that much valued either. But in CSE a bear land is traded at an exorbitant price but with REEF family, its still cheap

I think this is not an unrealistic target considering the growth of the company and sector P/E for diversified holdings. That is why I said, to be fair, VONE should record around 3 EPS around that time.

Any advices pl in this regard are warmly welcome.

VONE is good, BUT, if you list out some shares, VONE has distraction for other factors. Coz you are talking about 5 years time. in SWOT how you going to analyze political factor for VONE??

My opinion is at the moment we no need to focus for 5 years. Better thing is if you have some gains in sotcks take it. We are in some sort of bull run after long time. Aftr several losses. So on one day market will settle again. I bought VONE @ 19.10 yestrday and sold half @ 21.70. Profit is huge and still holding half.

I don't agree with u sir with regard to the REEF issue.Yes reef related shares (CITK, CITW)will go up but not because of their NEW hotel / new villa / war is over now/foreigners are comming now etc etc..... But purely because of the crowd behaviour and promoters involved in as well.

This is almost like GREG case to me. even these hotels are in operation it will take atleast 5 - 10 years to come to the break even levels. we cann't expect a single cent dividend from them for that period.

Yes it is true now the war is over and foreigners are comming.but check with hotels at what costs these hotels are operating now.and in sri lanka our hotel rates are much higher in the region.

If you are really interested about the post war tourism growth u should invest in a hotel like RENU with that fundamental backing. we cann't expect these ratios from any other hotel in CSE. so why u are not invest their?

That is only the crowd behaviour. people go behind every thing without having a proper knowledge. VONE is not for day trading. Yes it will go up further. but it will take time. Can anybody remember how BFL went to Rs 550 levels from Rs 15 levels. It was in stages. so that's why i thought of investing in VONE.

This share will give a very good return in future. The benefit of the tile monoply will directly come in to VONE through RCL. further the bottom line growth will support by the Rubber rich HOPL in future.

Only time will tell us the real story.

There are a number of shares showing bull signs and those might be temporary or long term. Some have crossed 50 day MA by 14 day MA last month and still in the bull phase.

VONE run should be halted a bit for a pull back like ASI. Then only we can consider it as a major uptrend.

vone IPO PRICE IF I AM RIGHT 25.00 and it went close 30 one time. After that several acquisitions are done. And all their firms going well. With this all plus points I am not wondering If it goes above 25.00 .
