If you analyse BFL's Q1 performance, you will see LKR 25m gain from Negative goodwill. This is not from normal operations. If you see, Profit Before Tax in Q2 has improved by LKR 40m (from 125m to 165m) representing 32% increase. I think BFL has done well. It should post around LKR 40 EPS this year since Nov-Dec is the peak season. BFL will be close to LKR 400/- if market also turns positive. 400/- mean PE of only 10x which is highly possible.

@ChateauC why have you taken my post so personally??
I'm not a expert in shares but I make my valuation based on the qtr eps. I'll annualized it and see what's P/E ratio. Then I'll compare with the sector peers. I know there are other external n internal factors u need to take into consideration also but P/E ratio is a basic indicator to pick shares.
i think BFL has a chance of reaching 300 -325 but I rather take my profits n let others make money on it to. like I said earlier I have reduced my target to 260 due to the fact company stagnent report shows there revenue is at a peak level.I entered into this at 190-200 level. I'm no expert so I can be wrong!!!

If you always try to sell shares at peak level I don't think you can make money. I always try to keep 25-40% gain cap. I know lot of people who becomes greedy thinking shares will go up further and eventually looses there gains.

As I expected 35 plus EPS for current fin.year, now BFL given me 18 with in six months ended 30.09.2015.I predict normaly their 3rd quarter results seems to be more positive with the festival quarter and high chicken prices in the market. means BFL is now in possition to report 35 or 40 arround EPS for current year. So, i like to see BFL to trade atleast minimum of 10X PER with Rs.400 range.

also, dont forget what a massive growth. with in six months 18 arround EPS. can you name any other company like that EPS with in 06 months. JV investment hit at 357 Mn. So, can expect further more payback to this investment. Also massively improved cash balance hit with 256 mn. Now they having very strong balance sheet.

BFL has done very well. they have kept their super last quarter results intact in this qarter.So all will jump to this stock from today bcoz now BFl will surely produce 30+ EPS.300 possible withing next 2 months

30.06.2015 quarter end Profit Before Tax = 125.07 Mn

30.09.2015 quarter end Profit Before Tax = 165.03 Mn

Remember this is purely margin driven. The YoY volumes seems to be dropped slightly.

What a positive reaction within first 15 minutes of trading. 250,000 around shares traded between Rs.230/- to Rs.240/-.
Expectation EPS 36 X Mminimum 8 OR 10 PER, can reach BFL to Rs.300/- plus.

Quick calculation on group comparison for 9 months ended-

Cash flow generated from operations jumped to 316m from negative 24.1m.
EPS jumped to 19.3% from 3.4%
ROE is up to 19.3% from 3.4%
